Curtis Hoover Hicks Sr. passed away at home on September 24, 2015 at the age of 86. Curtis was preceded in death by his wife Norma, his parents Joseph & Willie Mae Hicks and his younger brother Billy Hicks. Curtis is survived by his wife Sara of 38 years, his children Barbara Jean Saunders (Tim Hench), Curtis H Jr. (Monique), Joseph George (Suzette), and Carol Anne Sankara (Ishmeal). He has 11 grandchildren & 12 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Edward and his sister, Mary Bouldin. Curtis spent 24 years in the U.S. Navy and then 16 years as a Metro Bus driver. After retiring in 1979, he and his wife Sara purchased an RV and traveled throughout the U.S., Mexico & Canada for 25 years.
